Merry Christmas!
This Christmas it's all about being grateful, thankful and counting my blessings.
I am thankful and blessed for:

patient and understanding people around me
I ask for nothing more than love in all areas of life in 2012.

Day 6
New batch came in today.
Interesting to note, the one who said "I'm gonna give it all I've got" kicked the bucket first. Why? Cos that's all he had. The one who was the "fittest" had flexibility issues and issues listening to instructions. Either I wasn't clear or direct enough or I spoke too much that it was TMI, or maybe the person thought their methods are the best. No, I'm not saying my methods are the best in the world, but simple instructions like don't drink too much during the workout else you'll puke.
In the end, they all survived! With a few sores here and there, but nothing major to worry about! What we as trainers look for is safety, compliance and understanding.
Safety is priority. Nothing else matters. You can be the fittest in your class, the strongest in your weight group or the most intelligent in your alma mater. But when you step into the box, YOUR SAFETY is OUR PRIORITY. You need to rush for time? Don't bother going heavy. You wanna show off to the hot chick that just walked in,? Sorry, please step out and make a date with her.
I want you to step in, complete the workout, and step out - INJURY FREE. I want to see you tomorrow, and the day after, and the next.... Injuries will set you back for weeks or months. I.AM.NOT.KIDDING. Speak to any experienced athlete and they will be honest with you.
LIFT SAFE. LIFT SMART. God gave you 2 brains. Please, use it wisely.
See you tomorrow.

Day. 4: December 4th, 2011.
Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge the title to be referenced as per shown. It's 31 days straight; nothing more, nothing less.
Today,I had he pleasure of meeting some youth who were working toward obtaining community service points. It was a ew event to them and they didn't know what to expect the participants and the demands of the role. However, they were quick to pick up really quickly and they braved pressure.
Interesting to note, some youth nowadays are just lazy to work. If it's not beneficial to them, they won't do it. Some will o it, if hre s a leader of the action. They are quick thinkers and able to rationalise to comply with an instruction, or to come up with a solution. But I guess, the demands are changing and society's evolving!
On another note, what is it about baristas who dn't understand "milk by the side"?!?! WTH!!! Twice in a row. Same place. Same person. Not new staff, just doesn't listen!
Looking forward to a new week! How was your week? Dd you do anything spectacular?

With 30 days left in the year of 2011, I have decided to list down some of the memorable things that happened each day, for every single day.
Lets start with today!
Lets start with today!
- Had some fun with some kettlebell swings, burpees and heel walks.
- Celebrated A&K today!
- Had a discussion on God with Dad today. Wow.
I am looking forward to tomorrow!
Infinite striving to be the best is man's duty; it is its own reward. Everything else is in God's hands.

What Is CrossFit?
Life.
Provider of basic movements, skills and strength to lead a movable life - even when you are 60 years old.
Think of the time
The CrossFit methodology covers the 10 general aspects of fitness:
Provider of basic movements, skills and strength to lead a movable life - even when you are 60 years old.
Think of the time
- you had to climb over your gate because you forgot your keys
- you had to push a car/vehicle because the spark plug failed/no gas/punctured tyre
- you offered to carry someone's groceries because they were struggling
- you wanted to chase after someone, but your breathlessness and leg strength failed you
The CrossFit methodology covers the 10 general aspects of fitness:
- strength
- stamina
- cardiovascular fitness
- balance
- agility
- power
- speed
- accuracy
- flexibility
- coordination
I CrossFit because I want to keep my muscles and joints supple and movable. I want to learn how to improve my movements and my life activities. I CrossFit because I am thirsty for knowledge. I CrossFit because I want to help others help themselves.
My intention for you, is to identify and maximize your physical and mental abilities to be better than your current self. I coach you to help you help yourself be better than now. So you can stand proudly on your own two feet and say, "YES! I DID IT!"
I coach because I care.
I want you to be better than you already are. Not just physically fitter, also mentally prepared for the unknown. If there's something new, please tell me, "I'll do my best". If there's something that you dislike, ask yourself, "How can I improve?" If there's something you need me to know, say, "Hey, I need you to know this."

It ain't about the size of the fighter, it's the size of the fight. You may be small and tiny, but keep your heart big and strong. Fearless. Courageous. I'll always keep that light shining bright for you.
Keep moving. Keep breathing hard. Keep fighting for what you feel right.
If you asked me, what is CrossFit? My answer would be "Life".
"All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today."

PushMore Games 2011 Series #3
On 29th October 2011, Saturday, 8 PushMore athletes. 3 Judges, 2 spotters and 1 challenge.
To accomplish a new personal record for their Back Squat, Press & Deadlift.
Athletes had 3 lifts to be considered for the award of either the Highest Absolute Total or the Highest Relative (to Bodyweight) Total . If a lift "fails", it is not considered as a lift. Each lifter had 60 seconds to complete the lift.
After all the lifts, we finally ended with some amazing results!

Somewhat Chocolate Haven
I read this review in TheStar a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try.
It's called : "The Hot Chocolate Cafe".
Tucked within the residential suburbs of Damansara Heights, you would never guess there'd be such a place there. The Cafe has regulars. The chef is so friendly that he offered to serve us more food should we feel inadequate with the lunch portions.
What I liked about this place is that it's cozy, simple and quiet. You can have a decent conversation and enjoy your time there.
Only managed to snap a couple of pics....will leave it to you to visit the cafe itself! :)

The homemade kuih home in Tengkera produces and supplies the largest quantity(choices & sales) to the whole of Melaka. This layout of kuih in his kitchen area of his home is just a portion of what he has to offer. Try going to his place one day and you'll be amazed!
Coconut Shake Stall @ Klebang
A whole cuppa coconut goodness. All you need is cocunut meat, coconut water, ice and ice-cream. Blend it all together and VOILA!
